The many prominent and high-ranking guests were warmly welcomed by Michael Roth, Member of the German Bundestag and Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, as well as Michaela Küchler, chairperson of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.
Other speakers at the event were Ralf Wieland, President of the Berlin House of Representatives, and Georges Santer, IHRA chairman in 2019-2020.

Musical entertainment was provided by the singer Vivian Kanner and her accordionist Maxim Shagaev, as well as the pianist Annika Treutler.
The audience enjoyed a presentation by the youth forum denk!mal and was introduced to a tribute to the murdered composer Victor Ullmann: Going Digital against Oblivion – Outlawed Music 2020, a project of the Siemens Arts Program. This virtual-reality art installation by Alexander Stublić could be viewed by guests after the event.
